Company Overview

IVP has a more than fifty year history of providing quality custom molded thermoplastics and superior customer service. Although the company began by producing and selling our own line of nylon pipe bushings, the majority of IVP's growth over the first 40 years was through a very close partnership with Caterpillar Inc. Caterpillar developed many of its plastic applications by working closely with IVP. We continue to be the number one molder of thermoplastics for Caterpillar, with over 500 active parts. Through the years our customer base has grown to over 120 customers.
In 1990 the company came under new ownership which recognized the valuable customer base and the necessary improvements which would take the company to the next level of customer service and success.
Immediately a process was begun to improve the management team, implement state of the art manufacturing and information systems, and to upgrade equipment and manufacturing facilities. Tremendous progress has been made in all areas. We realize that this process must continue without end. This process is based on commitment to customer service and building working partnerships with our customers.
IVP excels in specialized applications. Because of the diversity of the custom molded products we produce and the special needs of a wide variety of customers, we have developed capabilities beyond many of our competitors. For example, we process over 140 different thermoplastic materials on a regular basis, we are efficient in low volume production through the utilization of quick change mold inserts' we have support capabilities for secondary machining and assembly, and we have an in house toolroom for mold building and ongoing mold maintenance.
